Beautifully restored/complete 1947 (s/n 57-6536), 1945 (s/n 36-1208) grinders with companion pedestals, plus a bench base for a 1943 (s/n 26-2337). The 1947 features the most pristine tool rest surfaces I have ever seen, sort of a mythical NOS unit, an original circular toggle switch plate in outstanding condition, plus 1944 era original braided cables connecting the twin lites. The 1945 unit is mated to a pedestal containing a rare original two button magnetic switch, and shows an original water pot. The extra 1943 bench base features a rare oilboard serial number tag (most have disintegrated over 80 years), and can be mated to either '45 or '47 grinder motors if interested. $895 is the price for a bench grinder only; a pedestal with a simple toggle switch is an extra $700; the water pots run $100-150 and the mag switch an extra $120. The heft and beauty of these Art Deco styled grinders make these a prefect addition to a car collector's garage, a retro man cave, or the lobby of the Chrysler Building in NYC !! I have sold several of these beauties at these price points so there is no price negotiation |
