1950 Walker Turner -S1140 Spindle Shaper. Serial #50SA2A
1.5 HP, 3450 RPM Dayton Motor. Single phase, fully reversible. Runs perfect. Included are two (2) spindles, a 3/4" and 1/2". I have owned this shaper for 40 years. I bought this shaper in 1981 from Valley Machinery in SLC, Utah. I built around six (6) sets of cabinets, some moldings and a few large Oak doors and then stopped my cabinetmaking business in 1987. I have had this in my garage since. This is wired for 230 volts but could be re-wired for 115.
The lower belt pulley cover (as can seen) was broken when I bought this. I have seen a few similar machines w/o the cover, but it is still safer to have as is.
I have some literature for the shaper, but not original.
