Vintage military surplus probably from the 1930's or 40's that was purchased by King City High School in the 1940's or early 50's. It was used in shop classes to teach students and in fact I have history from a student that became the shop teacher and it was there when he was a student in the 1950's. Eventually when the school got a newer band saw this one was donated to our Agricultural Museum in King City. It has been in use for various projects but we are limited for space in our shop and it is time to replace it with a smaller saw which we already have. Saw runs great and was tuned up a few years ago but has seen little use since then. Oh yes, the saw is extremely heavy. =/- 1000#. |
