Oliver 166-FD 30” wide aircraft carrier, I mean jointer. I am retiring and am selling all my machines. This jointer was built in 1982 and was originally sold to NASA. I do t think that there was 20 hours on this machine when I purchased it. I did a complete tear down and meticulous restoration down to the last nut and bolt. You will not find a nicer machine then this. New bearings were installed as well as new paint ( DuPont Centari) in the correct color Oliver green. This comes with the factory knife grinder, knife setting jig and knife puller. This is a 4 knife straight knife head. Forget the Byrd or Oliver itch heads, this is much better as you can put a secondary bevel on the knives for curly Grains without any tear out. I have pictures of the complete restoration I can send you. This is also the last 30” jointer that Oliver had built. Would like local pick up but can ship as long as you arrange shipping. |
