For sale is a 20" Crescent 1900-1915. Two years ago I purchased the Crescent from an older gentlemen that was moving into an assisted living facility. The band saw had been located in his heated shop since the 1950's.
The frame, wheels, table etc. are in good shape (no rust or broken pieces). The lower shaft has a babbitt sleeve bearing that will need to be replaced, along with the corresponding spindle needing to be turned to smooth out the shallow grooves.
My intent was to restore and use as my primary band saw. However, life got in the way via new job requiring lots of travel. I got as far as disassembling and removing a majority of the old paint. Every piece is accounted for along with pictures to document for re-assembly. I will provide more pictures upon request.
Price is $450 or best offer.
Includes custom steel frame with embedded screw threads for attaching see-thru mesh for protection, while retaining most of the original look.
Feel free to contact me email: Jerald.ostvig@gmail.com or mobile: 6one2.two46.01six4
Also, price negotiable on a 1.5 HP Marathon motor for the band saw.
