Logan Engineering Co. Lathe 9B-17-1 (Mini lathe)
This is an older lathe. My research has lead me to believe this was US manufactured in 1953. It runs strong, and as far as I can tell, there are no issues with this lathe. This was built for longevity. A ton of extras come with this lathe, including 2 three jaw chucks, and 1 four jaw chuck, center rest, follower rest, and loads of cutting and threading tools.The value of the extra parts, I think warrants the price. You can still buy new parts for this lathe. As well as a downloadable manual. Logan continues making parts under “Logan Actuator Co.” (http://store.lathe.com/chandchba.html ).
I have had tons of interest in this lathe, while selling other equipment. I’m downsizing, but not selling this lightly.They are still making parts for this 60+ years later. You can’t say that about the cheap lathes you buy at the budget store.
