Delta 10-in bandsaw, model 768. These were only manufactured for a short time before WWII (1937-1940). Many of the parts are identical to its "big brother"-- the Delta 14-in band saw manufactured at the same time. It's a solid machine that still runs great, and nearly all parts are original. The main support arm has a welded repair (see pic), and the guide support that holds the blade guides has been replaced. A few adjustment screws and wingnuts have been replaced over the years. And it needs new tires. All other parts are in good working condition and rust free. It's gotten regular use in my hobby woodshop over the years. They sure don't make them like this anymore. |
