This is a large treadle lathe. All the treadle components are present and can be made functional. At one point I had located a date on the lathe and I believe is was 1868.my grandfather purchased the lathe in 1930 at auction. He converted the lathe to electricity but I believe no modifications were made to the machine itself in the process. It is around 36” between centers, swings 9”and will swing 18” in the gap. lathe has sat in a basement for 32 years and while there is some rust present it would clean up beautifully. There is a large amount of tooling that will go with it. Have all original gears for lead screw. VERY RESTORABLE |
