This unique machine is the earliest version of a tapping machine I have ever seen. Push on the block and the tap turns in one direction, pull on it and it turns in the opposite direction. The machine was originally set up to run on an overhead belt system. It was converted to an electric motor at some point. The machine still works fine although it belongs in a museum because of it's uniqueness. I have a video of it in operation. Just email me if you want a copy. It is difficult to see how it works from the pictures. Note * drive wheels shown in pictures below the machine do NOT go with the machine. |
