I talked to the current owner of Woodworkers Tool Works about this machine. The company was started by his Grandfather in 1909. Neither he nor his father have ever seen one of these. They do have a catalog that shows a picture of it. The machine is all original, though when I bought it I wasn't sure because a previous owner had placed a large table over the original. Fortunately he had saved all the other parts. I replaced the original bearings, which had no way to grease, with sealed bearings. The spindle has some serious scaring from lack of grease. I smoothed it out by running it while holding 600 grit sandpaper to it. It should have the spindle replaced. The foot pedal is not ideal because it rises 16" off the floor when not actuated. The week before I bought this mortiser I bought A 1936 Delta mortiser which I have now put on the bay.
