Source=Owner's submission. Admin added date based on serial number. This lathe was purchased by Alabama Power. It was given to an employee when it was no longer needed in the 1990's. It was under water in Hurricane Issac(2012). I acquired it in 2014 less the original motor,(it is still around but has water damage),in 2014. Have cleaned and repainted, was Alabama Power green not original paint, all but the gear cover. One tumbler gear and one in the apron are chipped and need replacing. The only other problem is the cross slide lead screw and nut is worn, probably why A. P. retired the machine. The bed has a date in the casting of "11 5 20". |
