fully restored 15'' D1 sander ,This sander was purchased 2 years ago from an very old woodworker that had it for the last 30 years, it looked awful due to neglect and wear on the paint, being a 25 year experienced industrial mecanic i completly dismantled every part and had the motor checked and refitted with new bearing by a Professional electric motor rebuilder, i had all casted parts sandblasted and removed every brass parts to polish them, it was repainted with 3 coats of enamel matched as close as posible to the original color, the original identification tag was removed for painting and new rivets were put in like the original one, the disk plate has no more than 0.015'' runout on it,youtube video to see an hear it operate, its a beauty!!!, its starts and turns like no other electric motor i have ever heard.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqdsbABRBOE |
