I recently bought this machine from the Beckerle family of KC,K suburbs, whose patriarch bought the machine after WW-2. Its been sitting in his shop for over 20 yrs. Square cutterhead, seems to have been retrofitted with small castings to carry new rollerbearings. Slight limitation to the rabbetting depth, limited to about 3/8" due to new bearing configuration. Nice added motor bracket added under infeed end, very adjustable. 2hp open frame type motor. Paint is original, no rust, quite clean. Recently waxed tables and was pleased to see very minimal wear at all. Has holes in the side of the casting I suspect for a swinging guard. |
