Machine Description: Model 335, 6"x48" belt, 9" disk
Owner: Paul Novelli
Manufacture Date: 1950's
Notes: Source=Owner's submission. Owner's notes: Comments: I purchased this from a lady who's dad owned it, who was was a machinist, and who died recently. She thinks he was the original owner. It had set unused for quite a while, but appeared to have been taken care of in earlier life. When I finished restoring it, I sent her a photo and she was very moved by her dad's sander being put back to use. This model has the earlier steel spot-welded drums and they are in very good condition despite frequent references to the later cast aluminum drums being better. One "Owner mod, laugh or cry" change I did make was add a 10 gauge steel platen to the surface of the belt sanding platen. I did not want soft spots in the sanding surface of the belt sander. This is an excellent machine and is very durable for it's weight class. Here is the complete discussion: https://owwm.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=238249
