Source=Owner's submission. Owner's notes: I purchased this lathe in April 2022 from the estate of Alice and Dan Wochnick of Roselle, IL. Dan ran his own welding company "General Welding" and this was the lathe in his home shop. He passed in 2002, but it seems that someone continued to maintain and/or use the lathe as it was able to run and cut (though the motor could use some care) and there was no rust on any of the ways, knives or components.
It has quite a bit of crud and old grease that need to be cleaned, but it seems in excellent condition otherwise.
The original toggle switch seems to have died some time over the years, as Dan installed a reversing knob switchbox to the top of the gear box. |
