Notes:	Lathe offered for sale in auction ended 10/17/07 had starting price of $850.00 and "BIN" of $1000.00. Received no bids. It's apparent that this machine has had some modifications. Although the data plate on the bed may well state it's a No. 51-A, it certainly doesn't have a No. 51-A headstock. The original headstock would have been direst drive, and either a 3-phase unit with 4 speeds, or a single-phase, variable-speed Kimble motor. The headstock currently installed, however, is from a newer No. 159 with a "Reeves Drive", mechanical variable speed arrangement.
