Acquired this saw from an individual in St. Louis. He had purchased it from an estate sale in Florida approx. 5 years ago with the intent to refurbish and use. The previous owner supposedly found it in a barn in Ohio about 50 years prior to this.
The machine is complete, less a motor and sub-table. There are no cracks in any of the castings. Serial number is stamped on the back side of upper front arm.
Lower shaft and babbit bearings will need to be replaced. Have not disassembled upper shaft components at this time. Indications are that the bearing, at least will need replaced. I anticipated that this would be a cast iron, sleeve bearing, but it is babbit as well.
