I bought this bandsaw about ten years ago from the University of Wyoming maintenance shops. They had acquired it from State Surplus just after the war. State Surplus had it, so the story goes, because it came off the old battleship USS Wyoming when she was broken up. Probably used for teak deck repair, and perhaps for the mahogany furnishings in the officer's quarters. I have no way to verify this. It is, however, painted navy gray. |
