Notes:	Source=owner’s submission (admin added date based on serial number). Owner’s comments: I bought the South Bend 9" 3-1/2' Lathe on 5-15-20 from a lady who's Dad had died 45 yeas ago (1975). He was a machinist for Ohmstead Machine Shop in Beaumont Texas. The Lathe was just stored in a garage for the last 45 years, Untouched. From all I could find out it is a 1944 year built. It is a "Standard Change Gear Lathe". With Ser# 159471. A Tag under the Tailstock says, "This machine Conforms to the Orders of the War Production Board"
