Source=Owner's submission. Owner's notes: I'm looking for a good raidial arm saw to help with cutting large 4 to 6 inch thick fire mantels and bar tops. My wife and I own and run a saw mill and would like to do some of the wood work in addition to supplying wood workers wood slabs. I found a 16" radial arm saw ( B&D DeWalt model # 3556 ser.# 84670075 ). I'm not sure of the motor size? On the plate it looks to be 12 hp. I guess this to be 1/2 hp and not twelve hp. I've never heard of a 12hp motor on a saw. And if it is a 1/2hp motor it must be under powered to do the work we need it for? Could you help me with this?
