This particular machine has been in the owner's family in Melbourne, Australia, for about 50 years.
It's possible that the miter machines (and other machines) may have each had their own series of serial numbers - different from the serial number applied to Fox's universal trimmers. However, this is only an educated guess at this point in time (November, 2006) and is thus far unconfirmed. If true, I'd guess this machine may have been made sometime in the early to mid 1890's. |
