Source=Owner's submission. 24" between centers, 42" bed. Rear drive. It is the earliest Workshop Model, with pick off gears rather than a quick change gearbox and manual cross slide. (Later known as a Model C.) Also it has a separate removable reverse idler gear which is inserted when needed into the head stock gears instead of the lever-actuated carriage reverse gears used on later models. The spindle thread is 1 3/8" x 10 tpi rather than the 1½" x 8 tpi used on later models. I bought it in 1995 from a dealer in Vermont where it was originally sold. |
