Obtained through Craigslist on Sunday, July 19th, 2009 for the sum of $150. This drill press belonged to the seller's father, and prior to my purchasing it, had apparently spent most of the past eight years in storage. Note: While at least one version of this model detailed on this site show a dust cover that hinges on top of the belt shield, this unit shows no sign of ever having a hinged dust cover.

Machine restoration finished 12/30/2009. Original hammertone finish of machine has been closely duplicated with powder coat.

Note: Some of the original bearings in this machine were not identified with a part number. This machine required two 6205 double sealed or double shielded bearings for the spindle at the pulley end, and two 1205 double sealed or double shielded bearings for the quill.

Precision of the restored machine is astounding, with less than 0.001" of run out measured at the end of the spindle.
