The lathe was listed in the local paper as lathe, no motor $25. I looked and it seemed usable or could be made usable so I bought it.

This is after a good cleaning, replacement of one thrust bearing, new motor pulley, two coats of Sherwin-Williams Industrial enamel-laser blue (should be darker). With a new spur center and live center it should work just fine.
