I don't know anything about the background of this lathe. I purchased it from an individual and he didn't know anything about it. This may have been sold by Sears, but I am not 100% certain of that. It has a few broken and missing parts and I am in the process of trying to determine if any parts from the Atlas 6" lathe (a much more common size) are compatible with this lathe. It did come with a set of thread cutting gears and the milling attachment shown below.
