This was my fathers saw which he bought in the early 50"s. After many year in an old barn, I decided to try and bring it back to life. It was mainly a question of cleaning it up and long soaking periods with WD-40. The motor is 1/2 hp and the only name plate I see says Scot Motor. I believe this is the original motor. At least it is the one I always remember beinmg on it. The motor was out at the electic shop when these pictures were taken, but I got it back today and actually made some saw dust with it. Quite a thril after all these years. I still have work to do on the rip fence and I'm still looking for the miter gage. I know it's burried in the barn somewhere. The top has a lot of rust, should I clean it up on a blanchard or just clean it up as best I can?
