This is one really heavy jointer considering it is a bench-top and is only a 4 incher. Mostly, I use a Stanley jointer plane for most joinery. This Craftsman (King-Seeley) is one I'd use if I can get the parts, which are the blade guard and part of the clamp assembly for the fence. This model is solid. Picked it up for song at a GS and it has been roosting on a shelf for 10 years. As a comparison, see the Craftsman 4 1/8 inch jointer 149.236222 that I am posting. I can easily see why I like "old" woodworking machines. Some real fine restored examples of this model are posted here. I know it can be done.

Looking at feed table; you can see what is missing in the fence assembly; this is a component that I would have to find or make, before the unit is whole again.

Viewing the open side; the fence is lying along side; depth-of-cut meter is on the right below the deck. Badge is metal, not a decal. Nice.

Motor side showing pulley; feed table is on left. THe drive shaft is a decent enough size; again, it's why I like OWWM's. The bits are scattered topside waiting for application.

Built solid; nice to have a machine that is not prone to any surprises while in use; especially with a jointer. I think this can be refurbished and hopefully it will not disappoint.
