Another CL find. PO was 2nd owner and used it once, he said, to cut a round dining room table top. Band Saw was pretty much plug and play with the exception of new tires and thrust bearings for the guides. Motor is from another CL find and is a Brown-Brockmeyer RI 1/2 HP. Base and belt guard were constructed from scrap ply and MDF. Bob V has often commented on how robust this 12" band saw is. I completely agree. It also happens to be the smoothest running band saw I own, probably due to the smooth running Brown-Brockmeyer motor. I run a 6 TPI 1/4 blade and it results in a surface almost as smooth as my table saw.
