I purchased this mortiser in Waterbury, Ct. It originally came from an old woodworking shop. It has babbit bearings and was orginally run on a leather belt. Heavy and crude castings / design - 2" angle bar which was the original way Parks Ball Bearing and Machine Co built everything they made. The gearbox has
"PBBM Co." stamped into it which is barely legible once painted. The machine was disassembled, scrubed, buffed, polished, painted and reassembled.

I had a craftsman style table I needed to build and I hadn't figured out how to mount the motor and I simultaneously found the JD Wallace. Soon thereafter, I sold this Parks. It's up and running in Waterbury, Ct now. So basically It did a round trip with a resto through my shop because that's where I bought it!
