This unusual GE motor was fitted to a Tauco 14 inch bandsaw recently purchased. It is a particularly large motor for the 1/2 hp output and is really heavy. As indicated on the tag, it is a variable speed motor, 500 to 1500 rpm, the speed being adjusted by moving a handle in the front. In South Africa the configuration will be for 230 volts.
