Comments:
Bought this from a local guy in 2003 who buys, sells, & trades lots of machinery. Its the wood/metal version. I drained the oil reservoir and filled w/ new oil and have been using it ever since. The blade guide was cracked and I did not notice that until I had it home in the shop. So I made a new guide, see the photo. I bought the belt guard & the fence setup on ebay. It had no provision for belt tensioning when I got it. So I cobbled up a tensioning system from some items in my scrap pile. The motor is a 1/2 HP Craftsman motor. That came on it and it works fine. The stand was pretty rusty, so I cleaned it up, and hit it w/ rustoleum paint. And added the pizza tray to capture dust & chips. Its a good little saw and I use it often for both wood & metal. I have a wood only version (on a cast iron stand - it needs a total restore) of this saw in my project que to fix up.

Comments: Shifter photo. Lever in low speed (metalcutting pos), flip to about the 8 o'clock pos to put it in direct drive (wood cutting). Run w/ the large belt in the foreground for wood cutting in direct drive.
