Found this in a craigslist ad. Went into Wash DC to pick it up. Owner was a young guy who inherited all of his grandfathers tools and wasn't using them. Said he thought his grandfather owned it since the 1950's. It originally came from the NY-CT area. It was sad looking but complete & everything worked. I took it apart and over the course of about 2 yrs I sporadically worked on it. Went all through it, down to the last nut and bolt. Its quiet and smooth running. I still need to paint the belt guard...

The bushings on the VS crank (one each side of the belt guard bracket) were sloppy. I machined thicker bushing that took out all the "axial play" of the shaft. I made the knurled knob on the motor shaft to make blade adjustments easier..
