Bought this old Drill Press a few years ago for $25. This old horse was rode hard and put away wet. Looked better in the picture the seller posted on craigslist. Had a few fabricated parts and welding attempts to hold it together. Felt sorry for the old machine as it had some hard times and abuse, but decided if it lasted this long without someone junking it, I would try to breathe new life into it with a little paint and tender loving care. Old machines and us old men who have been beaten down and who never gave up is worth another try to keep them going. The old machine is still a little lame, as it needs some new bearings in the the double pulleys, but it still drills nice little holes, rattles a bit, coughs and wheezes, but still has life, so maybe I will give it a crutch, as it never gave up, and neither did I. I Love them old dependable wood working machines. NOTE: The paint I used was Rust-oleum Painters Touch Satin, Hunt Club Green #240260 from Home Depot.
