I rc'd a list of items for sale via cold fax from the owner of a shop that had closed near Boston MA.
Bought it to edge 40k bf of reclaimed Heart Pine with the Carter Line Light (laser) that came with the saw. Perfect saw.
I called Yates-American to ask for any info they had on this Y-A G-70 "Straight Line Precision Ripsaw" and I ran into a brick wall of liability legalese until I faxed them that "I appreciated your liability concerns and understand that you have officially taken the machine 'out of service.' I hereby state to you that the machine is properly guarded and conforms to all current OSHA specifications and that I agree not to hold the Yates-American Co. of Beloit Wisconsin liable in anyway for incidents corresponding with it's use."
The happy ending was that the faxed disclaimer greased the works enough so that I was put in touch with an nice ex-YA employee/G-70 expert who was actually then working for Diehl. He helped me out with advice and even faxed me an old six page G-70 catalogue straight from the Diehl fax machine!

Comments:
There is a nice counterbalanced section of the table that flips up to access blade area from this side.
