This is a large metal spinning lathe which has been sitting outside of Pleasant Street Machinery, in DeKalb IL for years. I finally bought it at ARNFEST 09.

Not sure what the 36x72 means. It will spin 36" dia over bed, 72" dia over the gap, and about 78" between centers extended, but only 72" between centers with the spinning tailstock ram.

The motor is dual speed, 900/1800 (5/10 hp or vice versa) rpm. It has a 4 speed mechanical transmission, three steps on the pulleys and back gearing for a total of 48 speeds.
