aquired this lathe & parts stored in a garage, inherited by owner & never used by him.
refinished original oak bench top & added 3 drawers below. all castings are iron rather
than cast alum as used in todays machines. all castings refinished original color. the
motor is the 1/2hp original. some of the sanding discs are original (price tags showing
$1.95 for a pack of 6).this machine was originally distributed by montgomery-ward, having
personally seen them on display at the price of $169. this bed was extended with the addition of 12" matching pipe.the lathe tools are original,not showing much use.
the instruction manual shown in the foto is a copy of the original.i use this machine for
sanding mainly, it makes a good disc sander with the variable spd control option.
