Boice-Crane Helmet Head

Called about an antique drill press, I ask what brand it was, PO said he did not remember but it had a funny name, he picked it up at auction. I came home with a brand I was not aware of. It was a Boice Crane head on a Walker Turner base and table. Later I found a Boice Crane base and table and reunited it to the proper base. The drill press has a 1/2" chuck 7 5/8" from the Column, height is 6' with head at top of column, weight 160 lb. With the Helmet open the unit stands 7'3". A tall drill press that is welcome to me, I'm 6'2". PO must have been a drummer, helmet was deformed with many hammer blows. The base has the clamping ways pocketed in the casting so shavings end up in there, but it adds stiffness and desired weight. The column coller under the table is BC but the one under the head is Walker Turner. Any one have a known date of mfg. for this machine?
