Purchased the machine well used and knowing it would need bearings. The previous owner added the Powermatic 52" fence and plastic motor cover. Picked up the saw in a pick-up truck, drove 3 hrs home
and knowing I was replacing bearings decided to dismantle the saw in the truck. Removed the fence, removed the top, started cleaning the inside and found the rear trunnion broken in two. Needless to say the first reaction is "Boy This Is Just My Luck!" Took the part to a welder buddy he said he would try but cast iron is funny to work with. Called the Man I purchased it from told him what I found and he was
genuinely sorry & offered my money back, I told him the saw wasn't for sale I just wanted to fix it.
Stand up guy, he offered to pay for parts or repairs!! My welder buddy fixed it for free.
