THIS JOINTER IS NOT FOR SALE, DON'T ASK, AND NO I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE YOUR ITEM "X" FOR IT. THIS IS NOT A SALES FORUM AND I DO NOT HAVE MACHINERY FOR SALE HERE.
I purch'd this recently from a hardware store/auto mechanic named Marty in the Rochester, NY area for $75.00. After taking the in/outfeed tables off, the blue paint seems to be an all over job, and if not original, then a very good and thorough repainting was done by someone. I still think it is a clown color, we'll see if it stays or not. The stand did not survive the sale and remained with the seller, thank you. These photos are all pre-restoration ("before"), "after" to come later. When he purch'd the home/property, the jointer was found amongst a garage full of a variety of machinery/tools/stuff when the previous owner of his home, passed away and that previous owner's mother wanted nothing to do with it all. She loaded 4+ dumpsters full of so called "stuff", grew tired of the operation, packed some things and...left. Marty literally couldn't move into the garage and the two 10x20' additions on the back, the garage was still so full. He filled many more dumpsters before being able to move in. This jointer is the last of the last..
Anyone with information about this size and type of jointer, feel free to contact me from here or look me up at www.owwm.org Look for a topic discussion about this jointer at "The Shop" soon, when the updating and troubleshooting is completed. Thank you to all of you techs out there that keep this site and the .org up and humming. I am on the hunt for a blade guard, dirty paper, original paint tips and a suitable stand. I think the latter may wind up being a home built affair as this jointer is needed in the shop to go to work.
