I purchased this machine with a Parks 12" planer and a Craftsman scroll saw. The machine appeared to have two coats of paint on it. Likely the factory original and some subsequent coat. I stripped the entire machine with the exception of the motor to bare metal using a wire wheel mounted on an angle grinder and my sandblasting cabinet. It is painted with 2 coats of Rustoleum enamel. The motor was sent to a shop to be inspected, cleaned and wired for 220v. It can be wired for 110v as well but the previous owner had trouble with the motor tripping the curcuit breaker under load so I just went for the 220v option. The shaper came with 3 1/2" spindles and a 3/4" spindle and a huge selection of spacers and cutters. The wrenches pictured are for changing out the spindles. The mobile base is from Rockler. The parts list posted on this site for the shaper aided in reassembling the machine. This machine will replace my Gil-Built shaper.
