Acquired in CT - I am at least the 3rd owner. I purchased it from the granddaughter of possibly the original owner. Based on the dirty paper found with the saw (a 1953 catalog), I guess the saw was purchased new in 1953.
Saw is a GS 17, 9" blade. It is pre-AMF.
Motor is a 1/2HP, single phase, 110v, frame 155, capacitor start. 5/8" arbor. Original Saw dates the motor to December 1949.
This is a very late model GS and sadly does not show the same fit and finish of other DeWalts. It is very "rough" and sports a lot of decals instead of badges.
Came with original GS instruction book and some DeWalt accessories (two-wing shaper cutter, Delta molding head, disc sander attachment)
