A local collector was downsizing a lifetime accumulation of tools and curiosities. Most of it he had already given to 3 different museums, then he had a yard sale and this was in it. This one cranked my tractor as soon as I saw it, but someone else had first chance. Last night he called to say it was mine if I got there soonest. Picked it up today. Love that open casting in the base with the delicate foliage. This is from a time when patternmaking was still an art.
