I picked this machine up from a friend. It had been sitting around outside for a while, and some parts had been broken. It looked like someone had hit it with a forklift. The table was off leaning up against another piece, the tilt adjustment bracket was snapped off, and the auxilliary table bracket was broken. The main casting, trunions, and the other essential parts were undamaged. The machine has ball bearings with a v-belt drive. The motor that came with it is an old 1.5 hp 3 phase Louis Allis. It has Baker guides. The top wheel has a laminated wood rim. The laminations are not in the best shape, due to the saw's extended stay outdoors. My friend threw in an extra cast iron rim wheel from a babbit American in case I wanted to switch out the wooden rim wheel. I got the rust off the table, cleaned what I could on the rest of the parts, and reassembled the saw. I put a new tire over the wooden rim, crowned it, and it cuts well, even though the laminations are soft in one or two spots.
