I aquired this saw from a man who was selling off his dads tools. It was in pretty good shape with only surface rust on the table. It was missing the blade lift handle, fence and the motor mount. It was attached to a home made table and came with a Dayton 1/2 HP 1725 RPM motor (I don't believe it was origianl to the saw.) A 3450 RPM motor is recomended in an earlier manual I found for a 103.24241 saw (predecessor of this model) but a 1725 RPM can be used with a 4.5" motor pulley. That is the current motor set-up on the saw. I have since restored the saw modifying a fence from a later model saw to fit the 17" deep table and have fabricated a motor mount that allows for tilting the arbor. My main goal was to make a useable tool.
