Comments:
Another machine acquired from closed down pine furniture manufacture in Shaftsbury,Vt.I dug this machine out of a outbuilding behind the main plant. The roof was leaking and one of the side walls was
half caved in but this machine was in remarkable good shape. The drums are built out of kiln dried lumber
bolted to cast iron centers and were covered with carpet which i removed from the drums. The outside bearing housing are detachable so you can slide the sandpaper on the drums easlly. There were a bunch of woodframe machines in this builing that were not so fortunate and could no be saved.I did strip what was salvageable off the machines like miter guages, fences, pullies and handles.I spent eight different weekends there removing machines, lineshafts, dust collectors, parts, supplies and old maple top work benches.
