This was listed in a local on-line ad, no photo, real cheap, not much info to go on, and a couple hours drive away. I read the ad as Champion (never did figure out if it was mislisted or if I misread), and fired off an email a day or two before leaving for vacation. Didn't hear anything back, and figured someone else would likely pick it up while I was gone. About the time I returned from vacation, the seller did the same and replied he had been gone so it was still there. A friend happened to be driving up that way a couple days later so I committed sight unseen, although the seller had sent one grainy email photo in the meantime that showed it definitely was not a Champion, but didn't enable identification either. Anyways, my friend picked it up for me, we connected a few days later, and I decided to go ahead and restore it anyways, even though it wasn't what I was hoping/expecting.

Turns out to be a nice little drill press that runs smooth and quiet. Sleeve bearings, keyless chuck, and a depth stop that is comprised simply of a collar that rides on the spindle itself and locks with a flat-head set screw. Everything seems to work well, so it was well worth the time.
