Comments:
Purchased in 2008; came as pictured without splash guard or pulleys; I am aquiring pulleys to get the speed down. Hope to restore and use for knives and chisels.
The grinding guide below was purchased in 2010 as NOS from Frog Tools in Dixon, IL - only NOS parts I have found.
Update: 10-2015 - I am surprised to find that this grinder is made from aluminum or other white metal - fairly light weight. It also has a fine vitrified wheel, as listed in some of the dirty paper here on the site. I have since seen 4 other Prairie G-7 grinders, and they are all cast iron. I do not know when the change was made from cast iron to white metal for the grinder unit, but it is a substantial difference in weight.
