This machine was purchased from an older gentleman in central Mass. It was his fathers and he explained that his father used it for making gun stocks. It hadn't been used in quite a few years but was in pretty nice shape considering. I tore it completely down, put new bearings in the lower wheel and motor, cleaned and oiled the upper wheel bearings as well as the thrust bearings, and put new rubber tires on and crowned them. The original paint was beautiful, I cleaned it up with a little polishing compound and paste wax. Built the stand with a mixture of wood I had laying around from other projects.
