Purchased this (via CL) in April 2009 from the daughter of the original owner who had died in 1990. He had put a Westinghouse 1/4 hp motor on it (W had a fractional hp motor plant in East Springfield, MA in 1941), had it on the original (paint spattered) stand (#716) to which he added casters (not Delta's), and had rigged up a switch with house wiring as shown in the photo! She said he had an active business from the 1940s to the 1960s making thousands of lawn ornaments - the poodle, the fat lady with bloomers, the girl with the big hat - which she and her mother then painted and sold to a company in PA. With it, I got about 150 blades. He last used it in the late 70s / early 80s and it sat in her basement until now. It was caked with 30-year old sawdust. I cleaned it up some, but it clearly deserves a full resoration. Photo added of patent decal per request of another member.
