Nov. 04, 2003. Model 1460, serial # 121-6007. Purchased this lathe on Nov. 01 at a nearby school system surplus auction for $120.00. I won the bid on three of the four pieces of woodworking equipment. Took home this lathe and two Delta 14" closed stand bandsaws ($150.00 each, same born-on date of July 27, 1987, consecutive serial numbers). This is my first lathe. It has never been painted and has two original Delta/Rockwell tags that are scuffed up and the original equipment supplier tag that is in great shape. Delta provided born-on date of June 1957. Motor tag is missing but I suspect it is a 1/2HP single phase 110V dual-shaft Delta motor. I think that type of motor is original to this model lathe but I'll have to do some research to confirm. Another project machine.
